Pembrokeshire Sibling Group was started in 1996 by a group of parents of disabled children and the professionals who supported them. We recognised that siblings of disabled children face specific pressures and challenges growing up, and wanted to provide a space for them to be children and young people in their own right.
Today, we continue to provide social and recreational opportunities on a monthly basis for siblings aged between 7 and 25. We visit exciting destinations throughout Pembrokeshire like Oakwood and Folly Farm, as well as places further afield in Swansea, Cardiff and North Wales.
We welcome siblings of disabled children aged between 7 and 25 who live in Pembrokeshire. Referrals need to come through a professional who supports your family.
We organise monthly activities and trips throughout Pembrokeshire and beyond. Additionally, we aim to arrange an annual residential trip (subject to funding).
We welcome volunteer applications via email to psg.enquiries@gmail.com. All roles require an Enhanced DBS check. We can accept current DBS checks from your day job in some cases.
We're supported by several local and national organisations, including Valero Refinery and the Moondance Foundation. Every penny of donations goes directly to providing activities for our young people.
